This is a place to talk about autism and the impact that it has on our lives. I am mostly interested in making legislative changes to enchance the education of our children.
This tainted "study" is full of misrepresentations and falsehoods (lies) to arrive at there predetermined conclusion! This "study" is being challenged with a "White Paper" to refute with "real facts" how beneficial sheltered workshops are to the individual, their respective family and th ecommunities in which they are located. Especially noteworthy is the quality, "vocational/industrial model" of Missouri's Extended Employment Sheltered Workshop Program regulated for compliance by the Sheltered Workshop Section of the Dept of Elementary & Secondary Education for compliance to MO State Regulatory Statute (SB-52); U.S. Dept of Labor-Wage & Hour Div; Federal OSHA Laws; among several other regulatory agencies, etc. I would hope the blogger/this newspaper will be looking for and reporting on this factual "White Paper" when it comes out in the very near future!
